The Perfect 30 Minute Summer Workout You Can Do From Home
Even though working out may still be a priority during the summer months, getting to the gym may prove to be difficult. If you are a parent, your kids are out of school, and with the warm beach weather upon us, you likely prefer to be outside than stuck inside the gym.
This is why we’ve created a 30-minute resistance band HIIT workout that can be done anywhere, any time. With these Body-Solid resistance bands, you can conduct the perfect total body HIIT workout.
Why Do a Resistance Band Workout?
Resistance bands are a great fitness tool to add to your home gym. They’re portable, lightweight, and as an added bonus – extremely affordable! Resistance bands provide muscle-building tension and offer safe and effective workouts.
Health professionals recommend that individuals get a minimum of 30 minutes of exercise every day and strength training is a perfect way to get a daily workout in. Plus, research indicates that even one strength training session per week can improve muscle strength and improve your overall fitness. Benefits of Resistant Exercises
Similar to free weights or weight machines, resistance bands provide a force against your targeted muscle groups. Total Body Resistance Band Workout
For this workout, we recommended completing each circuit three times before moving onto the next circuit. You should also take 30-60 seconds of rest between each circuit. Get out your Body-Solid Resistance Bands and get to work!
Circuit 1
Complete 10-15 reps of each workout.
Circuit 2
Complete 10-15 reps of each workout.
- Glute Bridge
- Push Up (If you need to modify the push up, hinge at your knees)
- Seated Overhead Press
Circuit 3
Complete 10-15 reps of each workout.
We recommend beginning with 10 reps of each workout, or even 5 if you’re a beginner. As you increase in strength you can increase the number of reps you complete by 5. You can also swap out exercises for others to switch up your routine or target different muscle groups. Don’t be afraid to be creative with your workout!
